Faculty of Pre-University Education
 
The faculty was established in October 2008 by a resolution of the University Academic Council with a view to preparing citizens who have done contractual military service for entrance examinations on account of federal budget. The tuition in all school subjects is given by highly qualified university lecturers. The tuition may be full-time, combined (evening courses) and extramural. Full-time students get a monthly scholarship of 2,500 rubles. For citizens’ convenience tuition is also given in university branches in Sibai, Sterlitamak and Neftekamsk.
 
Bashkir State University is the only educational establishment in the region which has been selected to be put on the list of federal state educational establishments of higher professional education which provide preparation for entrance examinations on account of federal budget.
 
Since November 2008 more than 300 citizens who had done contractual military service have done their training and passed Unified State Examinations at the faculty. More than 50% of them have become budgetary students of various higher educational establishments in the Republic of Bashkortostan and other Russian Federation regions.
 
Educational Services Rendered by The Faculty:
  • preparing citizens who have done contractual military service for entrance examinations;
  • preparing school students for the Unified State Examination (on a contractual basis);
  • distance preparation of school students for the Unified State Examination using modern education technologies.
There is a functioning Centre for Distance Education Technologies at the faculty, which offers:
 
  1. Electronic educational practice courses for independent preparation featuring the following modes of operation:
 
      a) Diagnostic testing based on Unified State Examination controlling and measuring documents:
  • doing real-time diagnostic tests in accordance with requirements set by Unified State Examination controlling and measuring documents;
  • instant computer check of the results of diagnostic tests in all types of Unified State Examination tasks (including C tasks);
  • preparing an individual report on the Unified State Examination test showing the number of scored points and a list of incorrectly completed tasks.
      b) Independent preparation for the Unified State Examination:
  • studying a system of animated and dubbed units when preparing for completion of each type of Unified State Examination tasks in accordance with requirements set by controlling and measurement documents (totalling 118 units in Russian and 74 units in Mathematics);
  • completing interactive practice tasks in order to master the practical skills necessary for completion of each type of Unified State Examination tasks on the required difficulty level (totaling 1676 tasks in Russian and 1313 tasks in Mathematics).
      c) Self-checking of the acquired knowledge:
  • doing Unified State Examination real-time control tests with instant computer check of correct completion of all tasks (including C tasks);
  • receiving an individual report on the Unified State Examination control test showing the number of scored points and containing an individual revision program for those areas of the school course in Russian in which such knowledge has been demonstrated that is insufficient to meet the requirements set by controlling and measuring documents.
  2. Electronic educational complexes containing full school courses in Russian, Mathematics and Physics. Electronic educational complexes in other school subjects are still under development.
