 Statue of the interdepartmental sports contest between Bashkir State University students in 2010-2011

1. Aimsandtasks
Bashkir State University comprehensive sports contest shall be held with the aim of:
- attracting the university students to doing exercise and sports systematically;
- promoting physical culture and sport;
- promoting health;
- discovering the best sportsmen in order to form university teams.
 
2. Sports contest procedure
Bashkir State University comprehensive sports contest shall have 3 stages:
Stage 1 – intradepartmental contests;
Stage 2 – interdepartmental contests for Bashkir State University championship;
Stage 3 – Bashkir State University teams’ participation in the Student Games of higher educational establishments of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
 
3. Sportscontestmanagement
General management related to preparing and holding the sports contest shall be carried out by the sports club together with the department of physical education. Direct holding of the contests shall be assigned to the Chief Referee’s Board and Referee’s Boards for Sports in the Sports Contest:

4. Participants
Faculty teams shall be allowed to take part in the sports contest. Full-time students shall be allowed to be faculty team members. Each contest participant shall have their record book or student card on themselves and show it on demand of the Referee’s Board. If the document is not shown, the participant shall be considered as a “substitute” and the team shall be prohibited to take part in the contest.
 
 
5. Team membership and the dates of holding the contests in terms of sports

During the sports contest the following number of points is credited to the team for each sport:
1st place

The winner of the sports contest shall be the one having scored the most points. The faculty shall be credited 8 best results within the program of the sports contest. In case of two or more teams having equal number of points the winner of the sports contest in sports designated in the program shall be the one having the most 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc places. If the faculty team is undermanned, which is determined by the statute of the sport, it shall be credited the result in case of no less than 50% of the team members participating.
 
6. Awarding
The faculty that takes first place in the sports contest shall be awarded a challenge cup, a pennant and a letter of commendation by the sports club. The faculties that take 2nd and 3rd places shall be awarded letters of commendation by the sports club. The teams that take 1st places in separate sports within the program of the sports contest shall be awarded a challenge cup and letters of commendation. The teams that take 2nd and 3rd places are awarded letters of commendation.
The participants taking 1st place are awarded a valuable prize and a letter of commendation, and the participants taking 2nd and 3rd places are awarded letters of commendation by the club.
 
7. Application
Applications for participation in the contests shall be filed to the Referee’s Board on its session day. Applications shall be signed by the dean of the faculty, the deputy dean for physical education and a team representative. In case of the faculty representative failing to come to the draw the team shall be prohibited to take part in the contests.
 
 
8.1. Basketballandvolleyball.
In subgroups places shall be determined in accordance with round-robin principles. The teams that take 1st and 2nd places in subgroups shall play butt matches (the first team of a subgroup plays with the second team of the second subgroup and vice versa). The winners shall play for 1st place, the defeated shall play for 3rd place.
The team of the subgroup that take 3rd and subsequent places shall play butt matches with the second subgroup.
 
8.2. Skiraces.
The contests shall be held in accordance with Russian regulations.
Men – 5 km freestyle.
Women – 3 km freestyle.
Places shall be determined according to technical results.
Estimating results. 1st place – 45 points, 2nd – 42, 3rd – 39, 4th – 37, 5th – 36 etc. less one point starting with 40th place and further.
The team place shall determined by the most points scored by 4 participants.
 
8.3. Chess
The contests shall be held in accordance with round-robin principles. The main membership of a faculty team shall be 3 persons: 1 woman and 2 men.
The team championship shall be determined by the most points scored by team members.
 
8.4. Table tennis
Main membership of a faculty team: 3 persons.
Match procedure: 1, 2 men, 3 women.The victory shall be awarded to the team that wins twice first.
The tournament shall be held in accordance with round-robin principles.
 
8.5. Track and field cross-country race
Contest program: women – 500 m, men – 1000 m. The team membership shall be 15 persons irrespective of sex.
The team championship shall be determined by the most points scored by 10 participants according to the Ready for Labour and Defence table.
 
8.6. Russiandraughts
The contests shall be held in Russian draughts (quick program). Team membership: 2 men, 1 woman, 2 reserves.
The contests shall be held according to round-robin principles with one round in agreement with the Draughts Code rules. Control of consideration time for each rival shall be 10 minutes until the end of the game. Men shall play on the 1st and 2nd boards, and women shall play on the 3rd board. Women shall be allowed to play on a men’s board.
The distribution of team players between board shall be independent of their draughts qualifications.
Based on the results of the team game the points shall be awarded according to the following scheme:
- 2 points for a victory;
- 1 point for a draw;
- 0 point for a loss.
In case of two or more teams having equal number of points the places in the tournament table shall be distributed according to the following criteria:
- the sum of the points scored by all team members;
- the result of the game between those teams;
- Shmulyam ratio system.
