Department of Pedagogy

The Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was established in IPE (Ufa Institute of Public Education) in 1924 and served as a basis for a new Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of K.A. Timiryazev Bashkir State Pedagogical Institute (BSPI). From 1933 to 1947 the Department of Pedagogy and the Department of Psychology existed separately, but in 1948 they merged into one that became the BashSU Department of Pedagogy in 1957. In 1980 it was divided into two independent departments: the Department of Pedagogy and the Department of Psychology. At different times the Department of Pedagogy was headed by Associate Professors N.D. Chizhov, F.N. Timirgazin, P.V. Glukhov, A.A. Yenikeyev, G.N. Fatikhov, Professor G.M. Murtazin, Associate Professor R.A. Kudashev, Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor Kh.Kh. Baimurzin. At present the BashSU Department of Pedagogy is headed by Doctor of Pedagogy, Professor V.I. Baimurzina.
 
The Department employs 11 teachers, including three Doctors of Sciences (Kh.Kh. Baimurzin, V.I. Baimurzina, Z.A. Bagushayev), 8 Candidates of Sciences and Associate Professors.
 
The Department of Pedagogy is engaged in academic, research and educational activities. The main research problem is educational technologies development. The Department trains qualified professionals for all regions of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation.
 
The Department runs professional development courses for teachers of special secondary educational establishments and universities of the Republic of Bashkortostan who do not have psychological or pedagogical education. The staff of the Department are actively engaged in developing educational programs for the Republic of Bashkortostan, they are also scientific advisers at Republican and city experimental sites for testing and introducing educational technologies in the educational process art schools, special secondary educational establishments and universities.
 
Doctor of Pedagogy, Professors V.I. Baimurzina and Kh.Kh. Baimurzin have their own scientific school. Under their guidance dissertation research is carried out by postgraduates and degree seekers not only from the Republic of Bashkortostan, but also from other Russian Federation regions.
