The Faculty of Chemistry trains highly qualified professionals in the major of Chemistry for various branches of national economy, academic, design and trade institutes, factory laboratories, higher educational establishments, colleges, comprehensive secondary schools of the Republic of Bashkortostan and other regions of the Russian Federation.
 
Academic disciplines are taught by more than 60 teachers (26 Doctors of Sciences), including the Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences M.S. Yunusov, the Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan A.G. Mustafin, the Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan V.N. Maistrenko. Most teachers at the Faculty of Chemistry have been awarded titles of Honorary Science and Education Workers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Bashkortostan. Leading scientists from Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Ufa Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Institute of Petrochemistry and Catalysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences take part in training the students. The Faculty runs postgraduate and doctoral courses in the basic majors of the Faculty. Professionals are trained in close contact with industrial enterprises and research institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan within the framework of the “Higher Education and Science Integration” State Scientific and Technical Program.
 
The Faculty of Chemistry is located in a separate building and has sufficient area for administering academic classes. The research laboratories are equipped with modern apparatus (SALD-7101 particle-size analyzer, FTIR-840 S and UV-2401 PC infrared-Fourier spectrophotometers by Shimadzu, HPLC and GLC chromatographs, overcritical extraction installation by Milton-Roy). There is a computer classroom. A high-performance computing laboratory has been created at the Faculty, a Minor Academy for Secondary School Students is operating successfully. The Faculty of Chemistry is a basis for holding all-Russian and Republican contests in chemistry for school children.
 
The students are trained in accordance with higher professional education programs within the major of 020100 Chemistry and the education received by the students is classified as higher.

The Faculty operates postgraduate and doctoral courses aimed at training highly qualified professionals. There is also an Academic Council for Defending Doctoral and Candidate Dissertations in the major of 02.00.04 Physical Chemistry.
